Ceny Hugo jsou každoročně udělovány nejlepším dílům žánrů science fiction a fantasy, vydaným v uplynulém roce. Udělují ho hlasování američtí fans sci-fi, lidé seskupení okolo amerických sci-fi časopisů a fanzinů. Uděluje se od roku 1953. Název Hugo se stal oficiálním označením ceny až v roce 1993 na počest Huga Gernsbacka, zakladatele magazínu Amazing Stories
